100th Follower, Woo Hoo!
This blog turned one just a bit over a month ago, and I've been waiting expectantly for the next milestone: 100 followers. It happened very quietly last week, when Susan (aka Susan Scraps) signed up to follow!
Susan doesn't have a blog at the moment -- it's under construction. But as her screen name suggests, she is an avid scrap booker who came to visit as part of One World, One Heart. (Side note: OWOH now has over 900 participating blogs. That means there are at least 900 gifts out there to be won. What are you waiting for?)
I was glad to surprise Susan with some gifts to commemorate her being my 100th follower. This is what went out to her:
It's a napkin holder made in Germany, which is vintage but new; I intended it as a fun way to display the handkerchiefs I also sent...
The white one is as soft as soft gets, with white on white stitching. The one with the scallopped edge is trimmed with a floral design that includes embroidered thistle, with a very British Isles feeling to it.
I also included a tag that I made with antique dictionary pages, vintage wallpaper, and vintage blanket ribbon and seam binding. It's trimmed with antique crochet lace, old buttons, and silk flowers held on with a pin.
Susan said the gifts arrived today and she was happy with them! Thank you Susan and everyone else who follows -- you guys make me happy every day!
