Do you remember?

I'm the daughter of a World War II veteran, and a third generation American.  I've lived overseas, and the experience only taught me to love my country more.  I'm not sure you can understand war until it has been fought on your soil, in your generation.  9/11 came close to that for me.

I remember the heroes who walked into the burning buildings, and who brought down the plane headed for DC, and who helped others escape the chaos of their burning workplaces.  I remember the families of the victims.  I remember.

I will never forget.
