Whitewashing

I found this lovely wall hanging at the thrift store. It's molded in plastic, in deep relief, and even though it's dated I thought it would look great on my bedroom wall. But when I hung it, it didn't look quite right, so I decided to do something bold. I whitewashed it!

Isn't it pretty? Now it looks just right for my blue and white bedroom!

If I ever go to Colorado, I'm coming to your house...whether you like it or not! I want to see all the pretty things you have made in person.

I'd love to have you visit, Julia! I think we'd have a blast. Come by anytime! If I make it to Germany soon, you can bet I'm going to swing by Aachen and visit you, too!

Painting it cream color is exactly what I would have done. Then it looks wooden. Great piece!
