Junking finds

More from that button sale I wrote about last week.  She had some of those button bracelets you see sometimes, where people sewed buttons onto crocheted bands.  This one had been pilfered, but it was only $2 and therefore charming enough!
She also had so many beautiful trims and ribbons...I went a little crazy...
I couldn't help it.
I know I'll find a use for it all -- trims are just that way, you know?
I loved the metallic ones!
I don't see netting -- especially not avocado green netting -- everyday!  And there was a grab bag of odds and ends.
Sewing notions...
some really cute doll clothing patterns...
and some interesting books:
Kewpie doll book...
and ephemera that ought to make some Kewpie collector very happy!  I know it made me smile!
Then, there was an old book about buttons, and a very nicely-illustrated book called The Flower Family Album.
All the pages look like this -- what a lot of work went into it!
When I got home, I saw that it was inscribed on the inside by the author.
I had thought to use the button book as ephemera for all its black and white button pictures; but, a quick look on Amazon tells me that used copies like this might be better left intact.  What to do?
I posted photos of all the other buttons I bought at this yard sale on Button Floozies, here, if you are interested!

OMG, those prices were incredible bargains... if I was there we may have been arm wrestling over them... smile.

I encourage you NOT to tear up that button button. Scan its pages for use & keep the book intact.

Do you get giddy and squeal inside yourself when you find great sales like this one? - I do.

Those prices were amazing! If I was going to sell my lace, which I'm not (at this time anyway!, that would be the way to package it.
You *scored* on all of the trim! I agree, scan, scan, scan those button pages... print them out, color or paint them- what fun!
