Thrifting like a bird

I'm still in a thrifty dry spell out here, but I haven't given up!  I found a few items at an out-of-the way thrift store that I don't go to often.  (Hm.  Maybe I should put it on my list of regulars?)  Anyway, you know how I love antique china:
This beautiful blue transferware plate had a noticeable crack which made it extra cheap, "as is", but I could not resist the little bird!
Sweetness itself -- and so full of hope for Spring!  We once again have snow on the ground here...sigh...
This is a very small tin, only about 5" tall, and I loved its blue and orange design, called "Bavaria".
I found a pair of these beautiful antique French plates.  What's unusual about them, is that although they are discolored and show wear, the floral motif in the center of each is still pristine.
It's a maker I've never seen before, either.  So of course I had to have them!
Here's a book with a lovely cover...I found it at an estate sale liquidation store in town.  It is falling apart and will make a fun journal cover!
Bonus: inside the cover, a really fun clipping from a newspaper!

I'm playing along with Her Library Adventures today, and later (or tomorrow at latest) with Apron Thrift Girl.  Click on the links to go there!

Love your finds. Might have been only a few but they are great. I love the bird plate. How sweet that will be hung on a wall.

I was sure your little tin was going to be my favorite of your finds and then you showed me the book cover and paper clipping.
You will have a great time creating with those.

Lovely treasures. I really like the blue plate with the little bird. The tin is also very cute. Thanks for sharing. I hope you start finding more and more; and your dry spell ends.

Ha! Love your link name on ATG. I have a couple of vintage bird books and I think that will be my listing title! Lovely plates.
