Matchbook swap

I just heard from Michele that she received my matchbook swap -- just us two swapped since I missed out on the recent flea market one that everyone else was doing!  Here's the box I sent her:
It's just a regular-sized matchbox that I embellished with papers, vintage grosgrain ribbon, wall paper, and a really beautiful vintage jewelry piece.  Using the good stuff!
Would you believe that ALL this fit into that little matchbox?  Vintage rhinestones, Dresden paper, scrap, antique award ribbon, lovely old lace and embellishments -- even a tube of mother-of-pearl buttons!  All on a bed of a beautiful vintage spring handkerchief...
I adore swaps like this -- I can't wait to receive Michele's, and I'll be sure to show you when it comes!

My matchboxes that I have seem to small...Is there different sizes to them. I love this idea....Yours turned out beautiful as I sure she enjoyed it to pieces.

Hi Laurie How big are your matchboxes as I can't imagine getting that much in the ones we have in NZ. Lovely idea and I'm thinking it would be so special for friends who are aren't so well instead of a card??

That is gorgeous, Laurie! I can't wait to see what you receive in return!
Sounds like a fun thing to do. Can't wait to see the one you get.
I am the lucky recipient of this wonderfully decorated matchbox. I hope you get yours really soon. I have already used some of the trim you sent, and I have put away the rest in my stash! Thanks for being so willing to do one with me. I just love how much you can fit in those boxes. hugs Michele
