Filling the Shelves

I've been busy this week paying some much-needed attention to my two Etsy shops; for the new followers to my blog (Welcome!!), let me explain that I have an Etsy shop Indulge Your Shelf where I sell vintage finds, and another one Twice Shy Restored where I sell my handmade creations.

I'm s-l-o-w-l-y listing new items for both stores this week and in the coming days. Here are some of my favorites:

I call these "Vintage Rescued Linens" because they were damaged in other areas so I framed the intact, pretty part to repurpose them!

I love, love, love these Scouring Scotties!

...And the colors on this one, part of a set of three, are just so soft and lovely, don't you think?

They can all be found in Twice Shy Restored.

I just adore the images of clocks on this red tray!

Here's a find: an artist's proof of a Gibson drawing, "The Hero Endeavors to Decide Upon the Object of His Affections"! Perfect for Valentine's Day, methinks!

I've had this beautiful handmade mat forever and never used it...time to part with it!

Valentines, from my era (late '60s - early '70's) of making paper bag "mailboxes" to hang from my desk at school!

This is just a little taste of what is new in Indulge Your Shelf!

I've also been busily making gifts that I'll share with you in the near future, once the recipients have them -- so as not to spoil anyone's surprise!

What's new in your shop?

I love the rescued linens. Framing them is a great idea. And you know I love the Gibson since I use so much of his stuff on my cards. What a fantastic find!

Such wonderful things!

I'm slow at adding things to my shop right now because I have a show next weekend, but after that I should be picking up the pace!

OHHH the little working hard scotty pups- so cute. That is a very clever save, dear Laurie.
Those Valentines remind me of one I bought for my Daughter to hand out in Grade School...I really need to get back to my Etsy shop too...I am afraid I have been alittle absent this week what with the OWOH...So it is back to work in my shop tomorrow and hopefully getting some new pieces finished and listed..Your items you show are beautiful...

I share your passion for repurposing vintage finds. My home is very modern but I have an obsession with finding beautiful old buttons and sewing them on my new clothes. They're like jewelry. They just really make all the difference.

I found this set of old Samsonite in your Etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=27441354 I found a similar set travelling once that had been painted (like a museum painting) and stacked for end tables. Oh soooo Holly Go Lightly! Adorable finds! I never forget them.

Oooo! Some very fun stuff! I love that Gibson image and the Scotties are fabulous!!!
I like having more than one shop to add to. Some things just fit better in one than the other, for me.
