900 posts, and more Valentine fun!
Wow -- yesterday's post was my 900th, and I recently surpassed 400 followers on this blog! It's a good thing I'm already having a giveaway! If you are here to visit from Grow Your Blog, you can find that post and enter the giveaway, HERE -- now through January 31!
Michele's hostessing a Vintage Candy Box swap, and I joined in the fun; I've sent my decorated box off to my partner and heard from her that she's received it but hasn't opened it yet! In the meantime, I thought I'd show you another box I made: it's the hostess gift I sent to Michele!
Michele has two blogs: Something Special, which is mostly her vintage finds and creations, and Special Paper Projects, which is, not surprisingly, about her paper art! She's one of the blogging friends I've known the longest, and I've enjoyed several of her swaps -and- been the recipient of one of her blog giveaways, too. Lucky me! She is so generous.
So, I wanted to take this opportunity to 'spoil' her a bit as a thank you ...
I decoupaged this cigar box with many different vintage papers, and then decorated it with a doily, some trims, and some fabric embellishments.
Then, I piled it full of some pretty, romantic-themed ephemera and doo dads to make her smile! (I'm not going to show you what was inside because it's similar to the box I sent my swap partner and I don't want to spoil the surprise -- but I will show you very soon!)
