Beautiful Birdsong projects, part two

For our second class at Birdsong, Debbie Dusenberry taught us how to make petite sconce shades.  Debbie's the owner of the shop Curious Sofa; she recently closed the bricks-and-mortar store and operates it online now.
Debbie was accompanied by her pretty puppy, who never made a sound all day!

I really enjoyed making the shades; at one point, I went to sit in Karla's garden and sew in the sun!
Debbie provided all kinds of wonderful trims and baubles for us to decorate the printed linen shades after we sewed them onto the shade frame.
I love how mine turned out; the other day, I popped into one of my local antique stores to buy some small vintage lamps for the shades!  I only found one, but I liked it so well I decided to continue looking for one that coordinates.  It's always fun to have something to hunt for -- don't you agree?
While I'm at it, I thought I'd show you this little view of Karla's ceiling border in her studio -- it's beautiful vintage wallpaper, and it's actually on the wall!  Imagine that!
Here's another fun photo (I think!)  It's the tag I made as a gift for Karla; actually, two tags.  Each features birds, and Yorkshire terriers (the little one has Yorkie buttons on it!)

I love my tags, thanks! I have them hanging in the studio. If I ever get an album made of the weekend, they will go in there.
