At it again...

So, you remember my heart creation, right?  I thought I'd finished but apparently I hadn't!
I had this beautiful rosette that was a gift from my friend Linda.  As I was going through my office/craft room last weekend I happened upon it and realized it needed its own place on the assemblage.
So I added another row at the bottom!
I stitched all this on in record time because I was so excited to be finished.
I added the two incheys I made for the swap, which I hadn't found a place for in the last go around.
Underneath it some layers of fabrics and doilies; in the corner, a lace embellishment.
I used some of my favorite French ribbon at the bottom, and some pale green velvet rick rack to balance out the greens elsewhere on the piece.
(sorry for the shadows...)
More buttons, and some fancy stitches to complete it.
The last thing I need to do is figure out how I want to hang/bind it at the top.
I'm excited to finish that step and photograph it in the sunshine for you.
It's the never-ending project!

This is truly a beautiful piece of artwork. I love all the different inchies you received in your swap and your own, also. I look forward to seeing how you hang it. Good work!

This is beautiful! Isn't it funny how sometime you just know something isn't quite finished but you don't know what to do next and all of a sudden inspiration strikes. Exactly the reason I am making an effort to give myself permission to work on more than one thing at a time. In other words, it is okay to set something aside for a while and work on something else while I wait for the muse. Bravo to you!
It is absolutely gorgeous! You could put little tabs at the top and hang it on a stick or a thin rod. Or just use lacy ribbon, tack it on and then tie it to the stick or rod. :) Hope you have a great weekend. Tammy
Your labor of love is gorgeous. I really appreciate all the work that goes into these amazing creations.
Truly lovely, Laurie! What a perfect finishing touch from your friend, as if it were meant to be all along.
