Button Floozies White Christmas Button Swap with Doreen

I'm so happy you all enjoyed the paper button book I showed you last time; the other two books I made for this swap were from fabric.  The first one went to Doreen in New Hampshire.  I was inspired by a silver-stitched white handkerchief I found in a thrift shop that I thought was just the epitome of White Christmas!
Here's a close up of some of the hankie's detail -- with my added buttons, of course!
And this is the cover; the wintery antique picture of a young girl is set over a vintage silver fabric, and under a vintage sheer fabric.
This and most of the other images I used I purchased from Cerri's Little Pink Studio.
I chose some beautiful buttons in shades of white and silver, and the sparkly silver trim was one of my goodies from my swap with Terri.
Here's the inside front cover, page one.  I have been hoarding this pink button fabric for a couple of years, and I love it.  I tied this long vintage card of little white buttons on with a silky piece of white seam binding.
On the facing page, a white damask covered with sheer lace, and my favorite angel print on fabric; below, a pretty sheer embellishment, and pink glass, silver, and pearl-look plastic buttons.
A white button Christmas tree on the left, and a cheery multi-layered scene in red and green on the right.
I sewed the tree onto a lovely red and white quilt square that was a gift from Angela way back when!
The next page was a colorful button wreath with a fabulous Santa button in the top corner, over red toile.
And the last page was another of Cerri's images, cut out and sewn onto a vintage poinsettia napkin, decorated with vintage trims...
beautiful clear glass buttons...
and a special to me miniature star shell button!
Here's the back cover; like the front, I used the handkerchief, decorated with a pretty carved shell button...
some silver gimp...
and a row of delicate white crocheted bells.
Doreen's book for me is plump with more pages than mine, full of Christmas symbols and accompanying buttons!
Here's the cover!
 Inside and first page
Gorgeous carved shell!
A wreath with eyelash fringe detail -- and buttons!
button cards, and candy cane in white and red opposite

Super cute gingerbread man, and a tree with my favorite plastic buttons!

Star and ornament with stitched details...
Stocking and bell with more dreamy vintage plastic buttons; I love the bell's clapper -- it's a sheep weather vane!
 And ornament, and angel
The back cover really shows its plumpness!
If you can stand any more button swap fun, I still have another one to show you!
And there are more photos of other books over on Button Floozies, too!

This year I'm back to traditional red and green decor, but apart from my handmade wreath I haven't done much in the way of decorating. I wish to be more in the spirit of White Christmas and I wish I discover your lovely blog sooner:) Love you beautiful post here... give me a lot of inspiration! maybe next year I will join the swap....
