Fall is here

I love September!  This year, our Colorado Aspen trees changed color and peaked early, so my husband and I took a wonderful drive to enjoy the beauty on Sunday.
We went out to Divide, and into Mueller State Park.

I'm so glad we went when we did, as the leaves were already blowing off the trees despite beautiful, 70 degree weather!

Can you see the 'layers' of gold and green in the distance, on the mountainside?

How about you?  Is it Fall in your neck of the woods, yet?

The trees are just starting to change here but heavy rains and gale force winds forecast for this week may mean the leaves get blown off the trees before we get a chance to appreciate them. What a beautiful part of the world you live in. M x

The leaves are slowly starting to turn here. The pumpkins are out at the grocery stores, and I've already started burning my favorite fall candles!
Here the leaves aren't changing yet but soon I'm sure! Lovely photos!
Oh yes - the leaves are starting to change colour here in Scotland. Your photographs are lovely.

Beautiful pictures! I just love fall and it is definitely fall here. Lots of pretty colors and cool crisp mornings. We've already had a couple of frosts. Not so sure I'm looking forward to snow though! LOL!

Still in the 90's here. Fall is probably about 2 or 3 weeks away for us - if we get one. Last year the drought didn't allow for a changing of the colors. Thank you for taking us on your drive through pictures. I love the Aspens!
