Spring therapy

I finally hung my SING banner from the swap.
I attached the pennants to a length of tea-dyed lace using tiny clothespins that I covered with coordinating paper and decorated with a mother-of-pearl button.
The lace went behind the pennant, while a strip of seam binding went in front of each piece.
I'm real happy with how it turned out!
I put it up Tuesday, the same day as I got together with Rebecca to do a bit of crafting.  I couldn't resist making another bird collage like the one we did at Birdsong Two.
Then, while I was at it, I made a bunch of tags, too!
I just went a little nuts with scraps, ephemera, and a bit of trim, ribbon, lace and millinery flowers...
I mostly stuck to the bird theme...

with a bit of Austen thrown in!
It was very therapeutic.  I think I went a little overboard with this last one, though, don't you?!
Did you notice how pretty the backdrop for my tags and collage is?  I am so happy with this lace panel I found! It's about 8 feet long.
It was at my very favorite booth at an antique store I hadn't been to in a while; the reason I was able to afford to splurge on it is that it was 40% off...
unfortunately it was on sale because the booth is closing.  Which makes me very unhappy because I loved her stuff!  Don't you hate that?  Oh well -- at least I got one of her beautiful lace panels!

Such beautiful tags you have made! Your spring banner is just wonderful, but I am so taken with the lace panel! Love it!
I love my banner too! I just clipped it to the curtains with the hooks holding up the lace panels. I need to get it strung better, but its pretty cute as is.

Such a pretty banner!! I love the tags too-especially the Jane Austin reference! All the pretty papers and laces are making me feel very inspired to declare my own crafting day!
I love your S I N G banner , that is just too cute and they way you hung it also
I love your tags makes me want to try and make some, if I wasn't at work

love the lace curtain also. I hate it so bad another wonderful shop in this town is closing also, she does repurpose furniture and people just don't buy it because of her prices $$$

come over and enter my 1st giveaway if you haven't already

Your tags are just gorgeous and I understand EXACTLY what you mean about it being theraputic. I feel just the same way when I work in my quote book. Maybe I should try a few tags!

How beautiful everything is!!! And the ephemera from Littleton, NH just made me really smile! How awesome is that?!
Amazing detail on every one of these pretty works of art. The SING banner is so sweet! I don't think you went crazy on the details at all, it really just makes it more interesting. Too bad your favorite booth is closing, so much of that happening these days. Love your lace!
