Vintage Christmas-a-go-go
It is like Christmas at my house right now -- as I've been making delightful crafts to sell at a fair in town NEXT weekend! Everywhere you look there are piles of evergreen and sparkly things, and old stuff that many would consider trash: true ephemera! And in that Christmas spirit, as I've mentioned before, I, who needs NO MORE, have happened upon some treasures at thrift stores I just couldn't and wouldn't resist! Let me help you get in the mood:
old stickers and tags
This "cutter" tablerunner
card-table sized tablecloth
I love that Santa and the Noel in different colored letters!
another tablecloth!
Odds and ends from The Bins (Goodwill)
All of the above, except for the Hallmark trims, were a total of $2.23 at The Bins!
So, you see why I had to rescue them!
I ran into my friend Kathy there, and she gave me some good pointers as she is a regular!
At another thrift store, they were just beginning to put out the holiday merchandise, like this little herd of deer...
a new, but fashioned after an old, Vera towel
and a "putz" house in the original box! - this I'd never seen before!
even with its shattered windows, it's a prize! I think I'll put it in my Etsy shop, which I have newly re-opened and am just beginning to fill!
beautiful old glass birds
boxes of tiny ornaments -- I already have one like the blue one, so I think I will part with it, too!
mid-mod angel candleholder
really unique!
I bought this from my friend Linda from her eBay shop -- it's a 5+ foot string of vintage tinsel in a rainbow of colors.
So, besides crafting, applying for jobs, and thrift shopping, I devoted a lot of time to watching the World Series with my husband. What a hoot!
I could really get used to this being unemployed!
I hope you are having a great weekend!

Yes, this not working is great. So much time to get so much done.
