Vintage Christmas-a-go-go

It is like Christmas at my house right now -- as I've been making delightful crafts to sell at a fair in town NEXT weekend!  Everywhere you look there are piles of evergreen and sparkly things, and old stuff that many would consider trash: true ephemera!  And in that Christmas spirit, as I've mentioned before, I, who needs NO MORE, have happened upon some treasures at thrift stores I just couldn't and wouldn't resist!  Let me help you get in the mood:
vintage Hallmark gift trims - never used!
old stickers and tags
 This "cutter" tablerunner
 card-table sized tablecloth
I love that Santa and the Noel in different colored letters!
 another tablecloth!
Odds and ends from The Bins (Goodwill)

All of the above, except for the Hallmark trims, were a total of $2.23 at The Bins!
So, you see why I had to rescue them!
I ran into my friend Kathy there, and she gave me some good pointers as she is a regular!
At another thrift store, they were just beginning to put out the holiday merchandise, like this little herd of deer...
a new, but fashioned after an old, Vera towel

and a "putz" house in the original box! - this I'd never seen before!

even with its shattered windows, it's a prize!  I think I'll put it in my Etsy shop, which I have newly re-opened and am just beginning to fill!
 beautiful old glass birds
boxes of tiny ornaments -- I already have one like the blue one, so I think I will part with it, too!
 mid-mod angel candleholder
 really unique!
I bought this from my friend Linda from her eBay shop -- it's a 5+ foot string of vintage tinsel in a rainbow of colors.
So, besides crafting, applying for jobs, and thrift shopping, I devoted a lot of time to watching the World Series with my husband.  What a hoot!
I could really get used to this being unemployed!
I hope you are having a great weekend!

Love what you found at the thrift shops, especially the Goodwill bins store. Good for you. I look forward to reading about your success at the holiday craft show and photos of the event. I'm not participating in any holiday craft shows but I will be attending a few. My favorite Christmas Church Bazaar is coming up on 2 consecutive Saturdays: Nov. 12 and Nov. 19. They always have loads of great treasures. This year, there will be a lot of buttons and I hope to score some for my personal use. Yes, I'll take photos at the event.

Yes, this not working is great. So much time to get so much done.

Oh ya, nothing like Christmas decorations to get one in the mood. I have 2 absolute favourites amongst your "stuff" ~~ the vintage 'Vera' and the string of rainbow coloured tinsel.

Isn't it great not having to worry about a 9-5 job!
LOVE the herd of white deer I use to have some and sold them in my etsy shop before I appreciated them

I'm busy making my cards for the AtC swap ,trying my best to make special ones with vintage items
