Thank goodness for art, and vintage treasure hunting; what would I do without them, to take my mind off of life?
January has been like this (my front yard); even when there's no snow on the ground, it's so cold, there should be.
Here's a larger version of my Living the Dream collage
I used some of the really good stuff -- like this photo of women on the porch that shows their big butts, er, bustles.

I love the look on this ladys face.
And, of course, I had to add some Barbies.
I painted over the smaller Living the Dream collage, and I like it better this way.
I spent an inordinate amount of time shopping at the Goodwill Outlet yesterday; above, my two favorite finds of the day.  More on those later!
At another thrift store, I found this lovely, valentine-y hankie!
And these postcards were thrifty finds at an antique store, for 25 cents each.

They were especially fun because they were written on; above, she asks if there "are any easy speaks in your neighborhood"
And this guy..."Best like to have got stuck in the mud coming home and near blew away after."
Take a good look at the photo above -- click on it to make it larger -- this is the car I parked across from when I was at the Goodwill Outlet yesterday.  It's the first time I ever looked at a car in a thrift store parking lot and thought, Here is someone who does not need to be here!  (Which is what my husband thinks every time I go near one...!)
Thank you for stopping by!  Have a wonderful, creative week!

Everything is wonderful that you picked up...........but I do wonder how the owner of the van actually sat in the seat and drove that thing!?!?

Maybe I'm just getting old(er), but the winters these days seem colder than ever! Just love the Valentine hankie...got quite a collection and going to have to find a project to do with them. Will be interesting to check around and get some ideas. About the van - wonder if he could actually drive and see out of the rear view mirror!
You found some wonderful treasures to play with! I especially love the card with the two women at the shore, and the pink checked candy box is ideal for a pretty project.
The cold is so oppressive. I keep a little framed saying out this time of year-
No winter lasts forever;
No spring skips its turn.

Haven't visited you in a while--glad I did. Love the collage! It's been cold here too, exceptionally cold for the PNW. Ice storms and everyone staying indoors. Hubs missed a couple days of work since it was all over the news to "Stay Home!" Anyway, it all rained off and now is in the 40's. Grateful!

We have a person in our neighborhood that is a hoarder... they have a vehicle that looks just like that. Sad.... I try to get rid of some stuff when I haul new stuff in--- sometimes the ratio isn't the same though LOL
