I just had to finish telling you about my trip to FL with this post about a mall I stopped at on the way to Jacksonville to fly home: Avonlea Antique Mall . They were happy to let me take photos, and I really enjoyed visiting every single booth in the large mall over about 90 minutes. Cute, chippy, garden/Spring things... bonnets... and lots of home decor.  I really wanted to have a seat -- but, I behaved myself.  (I must say: this shell-mosaic'd spool cabinet made me wince, though!)  Look at this pretty aqua blue/green stove! I thought this was kind of cute: it's a vintage hanger studded with antique buttons; then, hanging from the buttons and attached by more buttons: clothespins and, in turn, vintage kitchen towels. Once upon a time I read all of the hundreds of blogs I follow in Google Reader -- and happily so.  But a few weeks ago, as you may have heard, Google announced they are retiring Reader. graphic via thewonderforest.com Now, that DOES NOT MEAN they are retiring Google Friend Connect -- the little gadget you see on my right sidebar titled "Indulgent Friends" which lists my, currently, 432 followers.   But, you may recall, Google took Friend Connect away from many, non-Blogger blogs a while back.  Therefore, with the news that Reader is going away, I am a bit nervous that Friend Connect MAY soon follow Reader into oblivion (but don't quote me on that.) I didn't have a lot of time to spend shopping.   The beach won out over the stores every time! But on our first morning there we had to swing by this little Saturday market right in town! It was about what you would expect from a small town flea market. Lots of kitschy junk.  But it was awesome for people watching and for enjoying a sunny Saturday morning! And I saw a few things I'd never seen before, like this Luci and Desi cake plate! And these little Armed Services edition paperback books -- a whole box of them!  I can't believe I've never seen them before. This guy was having fun with his robot display! A bag full of vintage trim was ALL I brought home from that flea market!  It was lightweight and squishable, making it the perfect little buy for a traveling gal!  Much later in the week I stopped by the row of antique stores that I'd been driving past/resisting all week!  I enjoyed the sea faring theme of their street side dis...
