Indulge Your Shelf

I've been to the gym and need to get back to finishing up that tax paperwork for our appointment.  When they called to confirm the appointment, I discovered it is Friday, not Thursday, but I'm pretending it's tomorrow anyway so I won't procrastinate... which, by the way, these little Post-it notes that I got from Angela are really helping me with! Staying on track, I mean.  Are you like me, where you tell yourself you MUST do something today, and then you get to the end of the day and you got sidetracked so many different times that you did everything but that one thing? BUT before I get back to work I wanted to share some happiness that arrived in the mail for me this week!  I won this during the One World, One Heart event: It's a gorgeous little altered box, made by Nicky , and it came all the way from England!  I can tell that Nicky knows her stuff, because it looks soooo professionally decoupaged and finished -- a real work of art, and just my style, too...

So, my son is now on his 2 week Fall Break.  We decided not to travel due to his having been very ill in August upon his return from Jamboree.  We plan to paint our family room next week and are just hanging out this week!  It's been lovely.  And, since Fall fell with a vengeance and we have had weather in the 50's and 60's, it has been cozy, too! You may recall we've been doing Wreck This Journal together ; well, he's still way ahead of me!  Here he is having done the page where the prompt was (something like) "attach the journal to a part of your body"! We visited the puppies yesterday. There's really only one left -- the one with the big ears is spoken for.  If you're interested in Dot, here's a link to her puppy page !  I love them to pieces... and will be so sad to see them go! Isn't it amazing what you put up with from little ones?  Ouch ! I'm down to just one pre-Silver Bella project -- I even found a hat at a craf...

Hold onto your coffee cups: these photos may just make you squeal! Remember those sleeping puppies? Well, look how they have GROWN!  In just one week! Eyes open, clumsy walking... I can hear you saying, "Awww!" all the way from here!

Ahh...puppy love.  My friends have another litter of Cardigan Welsch Corgis (their second female, a different mama), and guess who gets to babysit once in a while?
