Your mission, should you choose to accept it

I'm back at work full time as you all know (seven months now -- can you believe it?) That means trying to eat healthy away from home, which, as much as I dislike using them, can sometimes mean buying single serving containers. Like these little yogurt containers. Have you seen them?  They're divided for yogurt in one side and something to mix in (nuts, berries, granola, etc.) in the other. So I'm at work, sitting in the break room, thinking, what a waste to toss this nifty little container. It seems like you ought to be able to do some thing crafty with it. But what? So I thought it would be FUN to get up a little challenge. Let's all try our hand at creating something pretty from one of these little divided containers. It doesn't have to be this brand...there are many Greek yogurts that are currently using the same design. Comment if you want to play along; I'll keep the "sign up" period open for a week or so. 30 Days of Giveaways, and 20 peonies

Well -- I almost missed this boat, but the Blog Guidebook (which I appear in, thankyouverymuch, and you can, too !) is giving something away every day this month to celebrate their one year anniversary! Go see ! While you're at it -- be sure to enter my giveaway, too! Thank you for the anniversary wishes, all.  I'm sad to say I was ill on our anniversary, so all of our wonderful plans were canceled.  I had a fever, upset stomach, etc., etc. and in fact still feel a bit queasy.  I hope we can celebrate later this week. But, my wonderful husband sent me this amazing bouquet of 20 peonies (20 years = 20 peonies!), so I'm going to share these gorgeous photos with you!

Have you all noticed the pretty bee button on the left sidebar of my blog? This bee is called Belle Abielle, and she's there because I'm listed in The Blog Guidebook , which is an awesome blog by Lyndsay and Sarah, who put it together as a blog community.  The Guidebook lets you list your blog for free under one of many categories; there, you can find like-minded bloggers.  I feel my blog is most closely associated with those under Vintage and White , so I put it there.  I could also have listed under Flea Markets and Antiques , or Junking/Thrifting/Collecting , or Fabric/Sewing/Quilting , or even Writing !  In any case, I can peruse all those and other categories to find new blogging friends! Besides this listing and categorizing function, The Blog Guidebook is also a fantastic resource about blogging; check out their Giveaway section , and their Linky Party page .   Know someone who wants to blog but doesn't know where to start?  They even have ...
