Indulge Your Shelf

Hold onto your hat... I went with some friends to the Old Glory Antique Fair in Littleton, Colorado and I took LOTS of photos. It was hard to choose which to show you, but I narrowed it down to 40 or so... Grab a cuppa and enjoy the photos! There's nothing like a summer market, is there?  So much to inspire! I was in love with this rustic little bird cage! And, I was attracted to all the different paper display possibilities I saw... The editors of Flea Market Style and of Where Women Create were on hand at the event. It was a gorgeous day, and I was there from 9 am until 2:30 or so... (with one break of about 45 minutes while the booths all covered up and we all waited for the storm to pass!) Did you see anything you liked? I loved it all!

Happy Father's Day to all of our dads, and better halves (if that isn't a word, it is now!) My dad, ca. 1981, on what I can say was one of the happiest days of his life.  That's a bass he caught. Here he is at the end of 1999, just a few short months before he passed away suddenly; Ben's second Christmas. The other great father in my life: my husband, on his very first Father's Day in 1997.   He's been the master of all trades, from diapering, to toy assembly; he's been a gear-packer and a golf buddy.  The bond between Dennis and Ben has been a joy to watch. Ben's taking off on another camping week today, so we celebrated Dennis last night with dinner. Enjoy Father's Day!
